History

In 1980 Michel (Miki) Hardy and his wife Audrey graduated from Bible School in South Africa. They returned to their native land and church in Mauritius. Miki took over the leadership of the church with the full support of his wife.

During the next few years the church grew rapidly and extended its links as far as other Indian Ocean Islands, Africa and Europe. But despite its visible growth in both numbers and Bible knowledge, Miki was disheartened by the state of the church with its division, strife, hypocrisy and lack of maturity, and he realised that something deeper needed to take place. As he sought the Lord for direction, the revelation of the power of the cross of Jesus Christ and of the grace of God came to his heart.

It was not long before he began to understand that the church of Jesus Christ couldn't be built by man's strength and human ability. He also realised that the gospel he was called to preach would only bring a real change in the church if he were willing to humble himself and be broken by the Lord.

It became clear to him in fact, that this deeper work needed to happen in his own life first.

As he took this road and shared this revelation, he witnessed major changes in the church, which included a greater unity among the leaders as well as spiritual growth, stability and peace within the local church. As Miki traveled abroad in Africa and the Indian Ocean islands, he shared with other church leaders how this revelation had impacted his own life and the life of the local church. 

Today CTMI has a growing network of leaders in many countries, mainly in Africa.
