Trianon - A New Auditorium
If you attended the last CTMI conference in Mauritius in May 2007, or if you read the reports of this event on our website, you will quickly have gathered that the church building in Curepipe is no longer large enough for our needs; to the degree that children under 12 had to be asked not to attend the meetings last year in order to leave enough room for the adults… Imagine their frustration! It's not easy for parents to organise themselves.
It isn’t surprising therefore, that, for some time now, the Lord has laid on our hearts, the need to build a place where not only Christians in Mauritius can gather, but where people from everywhere in the world can come to as well. This will be a place where non-believers can hear the message of salvation of Jesus Christ, and where Christians, at times discouraged, or hurt and downtrodden, can come into contact with the pure gospel founded on the Word of God, to be restored through the life of the Spirit. We believe we are living in the last days, as foretold by Jesus. Therefore, in the same way as Noah built the ark, we want to obey His call to proclaim the hope that is found in Him, and respond to the many needs all around us.
This is how our major project to build a new auditorium in Trianon came into being. Knowing how many of you are concerned, and eager to follow its progress, we are writing a series of articles to keep you posted regularly, so you can follow each stage of its development, as though you were present. This way, you can support the team on the building site, through your prayers and your encouragement, whether you are near or faraway!
