“Its extraordinary, Miki spoke about revival in 2005, and now, two years later, seeing the number of youth that are present, I know that the revival is here!”

I am a pastor from Bukavu, a town of 1.5 mln inhabitants in the east of the D R Congo. I first heard about CTMI in 2001 when Brother Miki visited Kigali, in Rwanda. Robert Bandeke, a brother from Bukavu, gathered us together to listen to the CTMI messages. I was touched by them!
When Miki preached in Kigali, I felt that it was for me that he had come. I was in complete despair; I no longer wanted to continue doing God’s work. My country was at war; there were also many problems in my church – hatred, and jealousy. It was a disaster. My heart could find no peace. By then, I was ready to leave the ministry. And today, I am not afraid to say that what I am is thanks to the work of the gospel that CTMI spreads, it has brought real security to my life as a pastor.
During a conference in Nairobi, the message touched me and I went forward for prayer. Miki prophesied over me, expressing all that I had in my heart. I had been asking myself: “God, did you call me to be in conflict with people? Why must I live this life?” I even hoped that I was still a servant of God, as I felt that all my biblical knowledge wasn’t enough. When he prayed for me, he encouraged me saying, “The Almighty has called you, I know the battle you are going through, but God wants to restore you so that, in turn, you can restore your church and the people of God.” That changed my life! Today we have 10 elders in our church, along with sisters who work with our leaders.
The messages that CTMI broadcasts on Radio ‘Neno la Uzima’ in Bukavu, touches so many people. They are thirsty, they ask: “Who is preaching these messages? Who is it that speaks so well? It’s so different to everything else we hear being preached today!”
CTMI has so encouraged me in the work, everything good things that my ministry represents today is due to them. Each time I participate in African conferences, I go home blessed, refreshed and encouraged. Working with CTMI was restoration for me. They are something unique in Africa: other Christian organisations come, but, so often, the result is division. The gospel of the cross preached by CTMI is unique and I’m not afraid to say it aloud!!
It would be so great to hold a conference in East Congo; there are so many pastors that would love to come into contact with CTMI. I pray that our relationship with CTMI continues to be strong. We are so grateful to have been begotten into this gospel and belonging to this family. Before, we were like street kids, abandoned, without a Father to watch over us, and take us by the hand. Today, if there is a problem we know that the amazing CTMI team will be there for us.
