“...Christian television stations in India all preach prosperity, so I was expecting to hear the same here. Instead, what I heard was pure and real doctrine!”
“I am from a Christian background. From my childhood I wanted to serve the Lord. I thought that meant the priesthood till, at the age of 11, I attended a youth conference and was born again. After training in Bible College, I joined Sharon Fellowship Church as a pastor.
In 1998, I met a former prisoner who shared in prisons. I was so touched that I prayed that I too could reach out to prisoners. The government forbids us from preaching in jails, so we go and do social work and share the gospel through what we do. Many have been saved; 36 people have been baptized, of whom 19 were murderers. We have 9 pastors from amongst former prisoners today! I am setting up a rehabilitation centre called the Cross and Crown for prisoners once they are released, and I will be starting a church for youth as soon as I return.
I had been praying for Africa for 14 years, when I shared this with one of my friends, he told me about the conference.
We have 4 Christian television stations in India and all preach prosperity, so I was expecting to hear that here. But instead, I heard the real and pure doctrine and it has changed me dramatically. Pastor Miki's message touched me: Jesus gave His whole life, I should give something back.
I am going back to share this in India. I want to hold a conference with CTMI in my district so my country can hear what I heard, and be blessed as I have been blessed...”
